When I was 2, I met my best friends, When I was 4, I developed my quirk, when I was 10, i was in a horrible accident, And when I was 14, I found out that My feelings for Izuku and Katsuki, was love.
Izuku was quirkless, I felt like I always had to protect him, it made me feel useful, helping someone that I loved.
But…
Katsuki had a powerful quirk, I felt like because of him, I had to get stronger, so that I could protect him too, but he was still always the one protecting me, no matter how hard I tried.
I didn't mind how things were, I didn't even mind when Izuku got a quirk and was able to protect himself and me.
I was happy with how things were going, the three of us got into the hero corse, and we were all happy, little did I know being in the hero corse, may cost me my life.
Like the ticking of a stop watch, Izuku Midoriyas heart froze in his chest as he stared at your out of breath form at his door.
The look of relief on your face when he opened the door was so obvious it shocked him, causing him to wonder what had been going through your mind prior to arrive here. For a moment there is only silence and you panting for breath, him just staring at you uncertain of what he should do.
“You’re… Alright…. ” You managed to say between breaths leaning against the door frame.
“Katsuki… Katsuki told me what happened…”
You were just walking home, going about your usual route as the sun set not even giving it a second thought until you found yourself face to face with him. Katsuki looked more pissed than usual, ranting out loud as he stomped home like a damn two year old, freezing mid giant step when he catches sight of you. You both stopped staring each other down as the wind picked up, snatching at your uniforms in the quiet tense air. Even though your mind had been clouded by the dark memories of earlier, your body followed it’s familiar path even if it meant passing his house and bringing you to this moment. For a fraction of a second, you saw his eyes soften at the sight of you before returning to the usual angry scowl and he began careening towards you once again, breaking spell and pushing you both in motion.
You had almost passed each other by without a word, both determined to ignore each other but Katsuki seemed to change his mind at the last second. It was that moment when the wind swept through your hair, carrying the sweet familiar scent of you that made his mind go fuzzy as he glanced at you just at the sun added an angelic glow to your form. Suddenly he became desperate for something to say, anything to make you look at him even if it was with disdain, Bakugou preferred that to being ignored.
“ If you keep giving Deku that false hope of him being a hero, he’s gonna fucking die. “
Anger swells in your chest, fist clenching as you will yourself to remain in control so you don’t turn into a rage like he does. You spin to face him, eyes wild but he continues before you can retort.
“I know you think I’m just being an ass, not that I care what your thoughts on me are, but it’s the truth either way. You filled his head with that shit and he thought that he could go running full speed into a situation he had no business in. The only reason he lived was because the pros were there. Think about that the next time you open your damn mouth. “
