AWHH These guys are ADORABLE TOGETHER. When Dazai used to work in the Port Mafia they were the perfect pair and yeah alright for all you Kunikida x Dazai shippers yeah they’re cute but come on! Based on the manga/anime/light novels, what do you think Dazai and Chuuya’s relationship was and is like?
Going back to the discussion: these two are constantly insulting each other and Chuuya seems to want to get on Dazai’s throat anytime there’s an opportunity to do so. Meanwhile, Dazai even being a suicidal maniac doesn’t make that job easy for him and plans ahead so as to detract Chuuya from going forward with his actions (ex.: Letter sent saying that Port Mafia’s secrets would be revealed should he die).
Fast forward to the episode where the duo is rescuing Q from the Guild. After Dazai nulified the curse, Chuuya could have killed him right there but he chose not to do so. Not only that, when Dazai got hit by Lovecraft, Chuuya ran to his aid and was honestly surprised to see him bleeding and hurting pretty badly.
