New Hentai Released!! Haitoku no Kyoukai Episode 2
New Hentai Released!! Tooi Kimi ni, Boku wa Todokanai Episode 1
New Hentai Released!! Jitaku Keibiin 2 Episode 6
Overall, this can be considered one of those weird and obscure retro animes of the early days. Oh heck, there are even lots of weirder animes today that fly under the mainstream radar. But as far as this one is concerned, it was funny, crazy and enjoyable in its own right. If you can get pass the fact that a son is craving for romantic relationships with his mom! Thankfully, this is not that kind of anime so I am very sure it will not amount to anything of that sort and will be played out just for comic effect and laughs. So watch this if you want to take a break from today’s hullaballoo of trashy animes. You laugh, get flabbergasted, shake your head and then move on with your life. No serious commitments or investments watching this one. Just pure short term fun and wackiness. So whether or not your mom looks old and hagged or smoking young hot MILF material, be sure to always love mom because without her, you won’t be in this world! Yo momma so young and hot that…
Of course, it is only subsequently that I found out that this anime was based on an old retro dating simulation game called Sentimental Graffiti. Sorry people, it is not even an eroge. At least, I couldn’t find any info about it having explicit sex scenes. Just your ordinary dating sim like Tokimeki Memorial, huh? Anyway… Hence, that boy in all the girls’ flashback could be the protagonist of the game. Hence the anime is actually an epilogue to the game’s scenarios! Wow. Then it makes a lot of sense then. But still, it still bugs me that if it is the same protagonist boy, damn this guy is good in getting 12 different girlfriends and then breaking their hearts by leaving. Well, at least the good news is that we see the girls managing to overcome and get by in life. So yeah, his presence may have left some sort of vacuum and impact in them (for drama purposes, what else) but in the end, it made them strong and move on.
As you would have come to expect, the art and animation are really old school and retro style. You can tell that everything is so dated in the animation and all. The one kind look of the characters that is only very distinct from that era. Yeah. I’m getting so nostalgic just thinking about that. Anime sure has come a long way. This anime is done by the veteran studio of Sunrise who has animated lots of mega hits like Gintama, Cowboy Bebop, Code Geass, Inu Yasha, the Gundam franchise, Accel World and Mai-HiME. My heart has a soft spot for retro-like songs. So it is no surprise that the opening song, Tenshi Ni Aitakute by Kaoru Watanabe is to my liking since it has that nostalgic and retro vibe. Though, it could just be me as I find some lines similar to the tune of Chibi Maruko-chan’s Yume Ippai. Kaoru Watanabe also sings the ending theme, Keep On Smile and you bet this also reeks some nostalgic and retro vibes. Yeah, I like the jazzy and easy fanfare, making this slow-moderate song lively in its own right. I’ll definitely keep on smiling when I continue to listen to this piece. Uhm, sounds a bit like a Christmas song too if you ask me.
Overall, this anime just reminded me about other nostalgic and retro animes that consists of different girls with different stories to tell: Seraphim Call and Kita E Diamond Dust Drops. Oh wow. How long did I watch those? Felt like ages. By today’s standards, this anime will be lacking in a lot of areas and hence that is a good reason why this remained a classic sentimental retro. It is an easy watch and not too heavy on all the sides. If you want to reminisce and appreciate old animes, this one should be a suitable choice. So is this retro ultimately a good anime? Well, uhm, there is no good or bad for this anime. It is just a series that exists right there. Because of earthly desires, lovers would shower endless praises, haters would harshly criticize it with hate, but this show will always be there for eternally, ready to allow those who want to experience some retro love romance drama while ignoring those who just don’t give a f*cks about such nostalgic stuffs. Sentimentality. It’s all just in your mind. Ugh… Okay, I tried and it wasn’t a good one anyway. 😬
Understandably this series’ focuses on Kyoya as he tries to make his amends. Hence the other characters in Kitayama don’t really shine very much. Obviously. Each of them has their own problems like Aki’s fleeting love for art and drawing, Nanako’s fleeting self-confidence in her voice and singing, Tsurayuki’s moral of being an overlapping character with Kyoya when it comes to coming up with a plot or narrative. And don’t forget his own household problems to boot. On a trivial note, is Tsurayuki’s name taken after the word, tsurai which means hardship? Well, at least his face shows a lot of it. Anyway… Some humans rise in the face of adversity. With Kyoya helping to solve their problems, it is unfortunate that these people were not made to think on their own since they started relying on Kyoya and their fangs and claws over time became blunt. Therefore they become depressed and lost their direction. Even if they were not as successful as in the original timeline, you have got to ask are they happy with their current life? I mean, it’s not all that bad, right? They might be struggling and not as famous as they should have been but they are free from all the shackles and chains of this creative industry. Assuming all that played a role in what made them successful in the first place.
The most mysterious character of them all has got to be Keiko. Don’t be fooled by her looks and demeanour. Those who have been paying attention will slowly start to think that she isn’t a normal human. I mean, Kyoya went back in time and that is not normal for a normal human being. But what I’m saying is that Keiko could be some sort of supernatural deity or something and there has been a lot of foreshadowing like she being able to conveniently pop out of nowhere suddenly. And when the time skip happened, this more than ascertains Keiko that she is more than an average legal loli. Yeah, how the f*ck does she not age a single bit in the alternate future? I hope somebody on the team isn’t a hardcore lolicon… Anyway, at first I thought she could be the goddess that grants Kyoya his wish so as to make him see what kind of future he wants be redoing his past. But to logically think deeper and harder, she could be a time traveller and from the future, trying to make her existence real and not fade into nothing or never exist at all. Because from what I can see, the game or the company that Kyoya ends up working on has eventually got something to do with Keiko’s gaming company. So what if she needs to have this game become successful in order for her future to be confirmed? And the perfect guy to do all that is Kyoya. Because of his attitude that he’ll figure out something and eventually gets it done, right? In the end, I think Keiko will be watching on Kyoya’s choice of path before she makes another intervention. Who knows? Keiko needs to exist because aliens invaded and she is the chosen one and saviour of the world! Oh sh*t! Sorry, jumped to the wrong anime then…
Art and animation are pretty decent and consistent in its quality. They look pretty well animated and the colouring and hues are quite bright and colourful. Of course some character designs look pretty familiar and overlapping, namely Aki reminds me of Haruna from To Love-Ru, Keiko like the slightly grownup version of YuruYuri’s Chinatsu and Kawasegawa looks closely to Emi from Hatarku Maou-sama. On a trivial note, there is a guy in the lecture hall in the final scenes of the final episode who looks so much like f*cking Accelerator!!! OMFG!!! Even he has crazy eyes!!! So this Level 5 esper didn’t get his second season spinoff because he decided to go into arts! Damn, he is going to drop some killer art with his vector skills!!! HAHAHA!!! Anyway, not sure who this dude is but the way they show him, he must be some important character, huh? Whatever. Was this the effect of the time slip or something? They also slip in a bit of fanservice here like boob shots, girls in their bra but nothing too raunchy. Perhaps that’s why no Kyoya-Aki sex scene unless the director’s cut extreme BD version? Nah. Just kidding?! Maybe. This anime is done by Feel who did Yahari Ore No Seishun Love Comedy Wa Machigatteiru, Papa No Iukoto Wo Kikinasai, Dagashi Kashi, Hinamatsuri, Yosuga No Sora, Kiss x Sis and Jinsei.
