Shuichi notices that Kaede is acting a little strange lately. While they are investigating he sees her take a shot put ball in her backpack. Shuichi questions her about it, and Kaede, very nervous, tries to avoid the topic, but Shuichi insists. He ends up discovering Kaede’s plan: she was trying to kill Master Mind herself, whose first suspect was Rantaro Amami. Shuichi gets very angry. How could she think of doing something like that? The Master Mind’s identity was just a guess, Rantaro might be innocent!
